How do I know which facial to choose?

With so many varieties of facials to choose from sometimes it can be difficult to know what to book.  Most facials I offer are for any skin type but there are some exceptions.  If you are unsure of what facial to choose,  book a Unity Signature Facial for 75 or 90 minutes + the 15 Minute Initial Consultation and I will make recommendations when you come in for your appointment.

Are facials safe during pregnancy?

Yes!  Pregnant mothers are usually concerned with changing skin, safety for baby, and comfort during the treatment in later pregnancy.  Most facial techniques are safe during pregnancy and can be helpful with alleviating your changing hormones and their effects on your skin.   Pregnant mothers are positioned in an upright position not flat on the bed which has been successful with comfort all the way up to the end of term.  All products used are non-toxic to ensure safety from chemicals. Facials are a wonderful way to relax and de-stress.

How long after Botox and Fillers do I have to wait before I can have a facial?

Please wait 4 weeks post injectables to book a facial.

What are the benefits of a facial?

Facial massage increases blood circulation and lymph drainage as well as relax and smooth muscles.  Improves hydration and adds nutrients topically, addresses any specific concerns from breakouts to aging to sensitivity.

Can I wear makeup after a facial?

Yes, if you have somewhere to be it is perfectly fine to wear makeup after a facial, just be sure to remove it at the end of day.  If you don't have to put makeup on then let your skin be free.

Can I get a facial if I have sensitive skin?

Yes, there are many factors involved in sensitive skin and sometimes a facial treatment can help determine through diagnosis what you can do at home to both offer relief for your current state as well as prevent your condition from worsening.

How often should I get a facial?

This really depends on your age, skin goals and the health of your skin.  I will make recommendations at the time of service.

Should I get a facial before an event?

Absolutely! Your skin will look healthy and glowing directly after your service. A facial series is also a great way to prepare for an upcoming wedding or other significant event. Contact me to inquire and plan for your important day.
